The problem has something to do with the Nvidia Riva TNT2 driver (v7.2.1.4, is the latest Windows XP driver available). If i replace this driver with the "Standard VGA" driver, "build in" in Windows 7, the games are working good. "It's a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 model 64/model 64 pro" What is the model number of Graphic card.but "Dame" tells me, that there is no "hardware acceleration" or incompatible controlador. "Winmine" and "Freecell" - nothing happens, no error message, no nothing. There was a driver in Windows 7 RC and Microsoft remove them in his final version of Windows 7 and i don't like to hear the reason. I don't like to buy a newer AGP Graphic Card, because this on works verry well again. Winmine and Freecell are not working at all and i belive, that is the Windows XP driver who is failing. Now, this driver dosent work with Winmine and Freecell and there is no Aero Glass. You can belive me, that this machine is old but really fast (faster then some new on) and i work every day under Windows 7 and there is no problem with this machine, except the "graphic driver" because there is no Windows 7 driver and i use the Windows XP
Using an older Motherboard, Asus P4ge-v, 3Gb of RAM with a exelent Processor, the Intel Pentium 4 (478) Extreme Edition (3.4GHz, 2M L2 cache) and a Promise sata300 tx4 Controller and a Nvidia AGP Graphic Card with tnt2 Chipset.
